About
This website is dedicated to all things related to being uncomfortable by getting out of your comfort zone. I am a personal development junkie and am obsessed with personal growth. When it comes to self-improvement, I am relentless about becoming a better person today than I was yesterday.
Because for all my life, I pretty much grew up as an introverted Asian guy in a traditional Asian household. I was born and raised in LA, but was taught to be courteous, polite, quiet, not rock the boat, etc. Those are certainly important values and I’m grateful for having them, but to some extent they did more harm than good. The disadvantages included being afraid to speak up, stand up for what I believed in, stand up for myself and others, tell people what I really thought about them, say no to others, etc. As a result, I would get picked on as a kid, walked over as an adult, and never truly went for what I wanted in life.
In terms of my profession, I’m of course a computer/tech guy by trade. Didn’t go to school for it, but was just something I naturally had an aptitude for. I was an in-house IT guy for 10 years until I quit my job in November 2008 ish. I still do a little freelance IT consulting nowadays, but am working on steering away from that because it’s pretty damn boring. I’ve shifted focus more towards internet marketing now since it’s an excellent avenue for creating passive income. Because ultimately, my next goal in life is travel and see the world and everything it has to offer.
I’ve been in this little cocoon for virtually my entire life and didn’t know how to get out. It technically wasn’t comfortable, but it was more comfortable to stay there than it was to break free. But since starting this blog, I’ve began taking the little steps, one step at time, towards freedom. I welcome anyone who wants to join me because once you take the first step, there’s no going back.
